Russian state-owned operator Rostelecom is in talks to buy Moscow-based ISP Gorcom for Rbs1.2-1.4bn (US$38-44m), Telecompaper reports quoting local media Kommersant.
With Gorcom’s 78,000 subscribers, Rostelecom would reportedly increase its fixed broadband market share to 7% in Moscow.
Gorcom CEO Oleg Zaporozhets reportedly owns 100% of the company, which is expected to raise Rbs450m (US$14m) revenues this year.
Rostelecom said it would not comment on on-going M&A activities.
