Russian national operator, Rostelecom has appointed Alexander Provotorov as CEO. He succeeds Anton Kolpakov.
Provotorov was up until recently first deputy general director of Svyazinvest. He joined Russia’s largest operator in 2009. Prior to this he was CEO of Marshall Capital, Russia’s biggest private equity shop. He also worked at Sputnik Group and Gazprom-Media.
He is a graduate of the Moscow State University. Provotorov will redirect the carrier’s strategy and managed the reorganization of the company’s structure and integration.
