Research In Motion (RIM) confirmed its head of its Australia and New Zealand division, Ray Gillenwater, has left the company after taking the role only months ago.
RIM said Gillenwater had left to pursue other opportunities.
He is succeeded by Matthew Ball who has previously in charge of marketing at RIM Australia.
In May RIM Australia was forced to admit that it had been behind an anti-Apple flashmob coordinated by its marketing department.
It was widely reported that dozens of people dressed in black turned up at an Apple store in Sydney in a coach and then proceeded to wave signs at shoppers that told them to “Wake Up”.
Gillenwater had been with RIM Australia for about a year and was appointed its MD in early April.
