This week Ancom approved the use of 900 MHz and 1800 MHz frequencies for 3G services.

There are four 3G licence holders in Romania: Orange, Vodafone, Telemobil and RCS&RDS. In addition to Orange and Vodafone, Cosmote holds a GSM licence.
