Romanian telco RCS&RDS has taken full control of Cluij Fibre Optic Integrator (CFO Integrator), the company developing a fibre optic network in the city of Cluij-Napoca.
Bucharest-based RCS&RDS has acquired the 85% of shares in CFO Integrator it did not already own, local publication Ziarul Financiar reported citing the Official Gazette. The deal value was not revealed.
According to the report, RCS&RDS, controlled by Romanian businessman Zoltan Teszari, acquired an indirect 10% stake in CFO Integrator in March by purchasing TQM Consulting and Lunic Franchising & Consulting.
CFO Integrator was founded in 2007 after winning a tender to build a fibre-opting network for Cluij-Napoca, Romania’s second-largest city after Bucharest. The company’s contract with the municipality was signed in 2008 and runs for 20 years.
RCS&RDS provides cable and satellite TV, internet and fixed and mobile phone services. The company operates in Spain, Italy, Hungary, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Croatia and Serbia as well as Romania.
