Private equity-owned cableco Rural Broadband Investments (RBI) has bought a number of cable systems from Cass Cable TV to take its subscriber base to more than 150,000.
The deal value of the transaction was not revealed.
Chicago PE house GTCR created the US cable operator last year and is moving to build a platform of between 300,000 and 400,000 subscribers across rural areas.
RBI has previously acquired NewWave Communications, Cable Management Associates, the McDonald Cable/Cablevison systems and City Cable.
Kirkland & Ellis served as GTCR’s legal counsel and PWC was its accounting advisor.
