Italian power and telecoms cable maker Prysmian has inked a €100m (US$137m) credit facility with Mediobanca.
The five-year facility will be used to refinance existing debt and for working capital purposes, the Milan-based company said in a statement.
Last December, Prysmian secured a €100m loan facility with the European Investment Bank (EIB) to fund its development programmes in various European countries through to 2016, with a significant portion to be allocated to work in Italy.
Listed on the Milan Stock Exchange, Prysmian operates in 50 countries. The group manufactures cables and accessories for voice, video and data transmission.
