Federal government IT services provider Pragmatics has snapped up satellite technology consulting firm Innovative Solutions International (ISI) for an undisclosed amount.
Founded in 1994, ISI specialises in satellite-based communications, navigation, and surveillance (CNS) technologies. Customers are predominantly from the Federal Government and US Department of Defense, where the company has worked with Lockheed Martin on the GPS III Phase A program.
Privately-held Pragmatics stated that the acquisition would enhance its engineering services capabilities as well as add the development of new technologies that take advantage of satellite-based capabilities to deliver next-generation communications.
Dr Long Nguyen, Pragmatics CEO, said, “ISI meets our strict acquisition criteria and brings a team of highly skilled experts and thought leaders in satellite and aviation technologies to Pragmatics. The acquisition broadens both our customer base and service offerings, which are key components of our continued growth.”
