Brazilian fixed line operator Telesp is mulling an entrance into the country’s mobile phone market, via an MVNO deal with Vivo.
Telecomunicacoes de Sao Paulo, which operates as Telesp and is a joint venture between Telefonica and Portugal Telecom, is reported to be in talks with fellow Brazilian telco Vivo for an MVNO agreement, which would see it lease capacity on Vivo’s spectrum, thereby allowing it to offer mobile services along side its fixed line offering.
Telesp is said to be in talks with the regulatory services for approval for a deal.
