UK-based operator Cable & Wireless Communications (CWC) has announced plans to appoint Alison Platt, an MD at London-based healthcare firm Bupa, as a non-executive director.
Platt will join CWC as Mary Francis retires as a non-executive director on 30 June.
CWC chairman Sir Richard Lapthorne said: “Alison’s breadth of executive experience gained through her successful executive career at Bupa and prior to that at British Airways, will make a valuable contribution to the board.”
“The board is extremely grateful for the significant contribution that Mary has made as a non-executive director and chair of the remuneration committee.”
