Russian regional operator PeterStar, a unit of Synterra Group, plans to merge five of its subsidiaries into its main operation, according to media reports.
Gazinternet and Eurotelecom, both based in Kalingrad, Arkhangelsk-based TD-Telecom, Saint-petersburg-based Linya1 and Tver-based Kansstel will reportedly been integrated into local branches of PeterStar.
Russian mobile operator MegaFon bought Synterra in March 2011.
The company was not immediately available for comment.
