He will start his new position on 2 October, replacing Yacov Gelbard who took up the role a year ago.
Romano was one of the founders of the company where he served as VP human resources and administration, VP customer services and deputy CEO. During 2005 and 2009, Romano was president and CEO of El Al Israel Airlines Ltd.
Partner Communications trades under the Orange brand name.
