Egyptian Orascom Telecom (OTH) resumed trading on the Egyptian Stock Exchange (EGX) Sunday after a several weeks long suspension. At the same time newly separated Orascom Telecom Media and Technology (OTMT) started trading for the first time.
In late November, OTH had suspended trading of its ordinary shares in preparation of the demerger of the unit that became OTMT.
The latter holds various investments in media, technology and telecom companies that were previously controlled by OTH. These investments include stakes in Mobinil, ECMS, OT Ventures and Middle East and North Africa for Sea Cables.
