Greek operator OTE has appointed Rainer Rathgeber to its board of directors following the departure of Hamid Akhavan who resigned following his departure from Deutsche Telekom.
Rathgeber has been with Deutsche Telekom since 2002 and is currently senior VP for marketing in Southeast Europe for OTE.
Until September 2009 he held the position of CEO of Mobile Hrvatski as well as the
position of COO Mobile of Telekom Hrvatski Board. Prior to joining the Deutsche Telekom Group, he had worked for consulting firms A.T. Kearney and Roland Berger in Germany and Latin America.
Deutsche Telekom owns 30% of OTE.
