France Télécom’s Orange Business Services has announced a cloud computing tie-up with IT groups Cisco, EMC and VMware.
Called Flexible 4 Business, the venture promises to reduce management complexity and accelerate cloud deployment because it relies on Orange being the only service provider.
“Today’s business alliance will make cloud computing a reachable reality for global enterprises, providing for our customers’ security requirements and mitigating the complexity of technical migration,” said Vivek Badrinath, CEO of Orange Business Services.
The initiative will initially offer enterprises infrastructure-as-a-service (IaaS) solutions and software-as-a-service (SaaS) solutions. These include private cloud and back-up services, and security and unified communications services.
