Orange (EPA:ORA) has completed the acquisition of the 5.25% of Spanish fixed-line operator Jazztel (BME:JAZ) it did not already own, the French incumbent announced today.
The squeeze-out was carried out at a price of €13 per share, the same price as Orange’s takeover offer, worth a total of €3.4bn (US$3.7bn).
The Spanish company will be delisted tomorrow, 19 August.
Jazztel, which approved the deal in June, was advised by Goldman Sachs and JP Morgan. MVNO Masmovil earlier this week announced that it had agreed to buy the fibre and copper assets being divested by Orange in order to meet regulatory conditions for the transaction.
