The mobile operator launched services in Q3 last year. It had won a tender for a third GSM/3G licence with a bid of E51.5m in October 2008.
Orange competes with VimpelCom-owned ArmenTel and MTS-owned VivaCell.
Mobile penetration in Armenia is currently at 80%. The country has a population of 3.2 million, with 1.1 million of these being in the capital Yerevan.
