The two companies could set a joint venture where Orange Cinema Series would merge with TPS Star.
Having been set up less than two years ago, Orange Cinema Series, which has over 480,000 subscribers, could be worth E200m.
France Telecom’s CEO Stephane Richard is reportedly also keen to seal a deal for Orange Sport channel with Rupert Murdoch’s NewsCorp, which is not present in the French market.
Vivendi declined to comment, while France Telecom was not immediately available for comments.
