Lithuanian mobile operator Omnitel has named Jan Sorensen as its new finance head.
Sorensenas will start his new role on 5 May, replacing Nerijus Datkunas. Omnitel is a unit of Sweden’s TeliaSonera.
The appointment follows major organisational and operational changes at the Vilnius-based company.
Sorensenas has been based in France for the past 12 years, where he has held various positions with the Schneider Group, most recently as CFO of its Eastern European division.
Omnitel is Lithuania’s second largest mobile operator in terms of subscribers after Swedish telco Tele2’s local unit.
