Japanese telco NTT Docomo has launched a 10-year Y50bn (US$498.1m) bond offering.
The senior unsecured bonds have an issue price of Y99.91, pay a coupon of 0.73% and mature in 2023.
Nomura Securities, Mitsubishi UFJ Morgan Stanley, Mizuho Securities, Goldman Sachs Japan and SMBC Nikko Securities are underwriters for the issue, which is part of NTT Docomo’s Y1tn shelf registration.
Moody’s assigned the offering an Aa2 rating with a stable outlook, in line with the rating for the shelf registration, which is (P)Aa2. The agency said it expects the telco will maintain its strong balance sheet and stable profitability.
NTT Docomo recently spent US$875m on the acquisition of cloud networking company Virtela Technology Services and of RagingWire Data Centers, both in the US.
