The board of directors of Japan’s largest mobile operator, NTT Docomo, has proposed the appointment of Kaoru Kato as the company’s new CEO.
The proposal, as well as other changes in executive positions, is expected to be submitted for official approval at the shareholders and board of directors meetings to take place on 19 June.
If approved, Kato will replace Ryuji Yamada, who is expected to remain corporate adviser to the company and a member of the board of directors.
The board said those changes are aimed at further growing and developing the company under a new management setup.
