Schroter has previously been CFO at the semiconductor provider Infineon Technologies AG and the logistics company Schenker.
Schroter said that “having looked carefully at Nokia Siemens Networks, I believe the company is in the strongest position it has ever been – and I am pleased to join the team at such an important time.
NSN’s CEO, Rajeev Suri, said that Schroter had a strong track record of disciplined financial management, as well as helping to deliver growth and shareholder value.
Schroter will join NSN on 14 March.
