Sergio Borges Chaia has left his position as president of Nextel Brazil, a subsidiary of US-headquartered NII Holdings.
“We have decided to move forward in a new direction to ensure Nextel Brazil is able to execute on its goals and deliver results,” said Steve Dussek, NII’s CEO.
The chief operating officers of both NII and Nextel Brazil – Gokul Hemmady and Claudio Hidalgo respectively – will cover Chaia’s duties until a successor is appointed.
NII will conduct a search to identify a new president for Nextel Brazil.
