Sam Elangalloor has been appointed managing director of Zain Tanzania, which was bought by Bharti Airtel earlier this year, according to media reports.
He was previously CEO of Airtel Telemedia Services, Bharti’s broadband and internet business.
He replaces Khaled Muhtadi.
Bharti Airtel reportedly plans to invest US$150m over the next three years in Tanzania.
The company was not immediately available for comment.
