New head for VimpelCom’s Cambodian operations

Telecoms group VimpelCom has appointed Siddhanta Kothari as general director for its Cambodian operations effective as of 4 May 2012.
Kothari was previously CFO of GTel Mobile, the Vietnamese mobile subsidiary of VimpelCom.

Telecoms group VimpelCom has appointed Siddhanta Kothari as general director for its Cambodian operations effective as of 4 May 2012.

Kothari was previously CFO of GTel Mobile, the Vietnamese mobile subsidiary of VimpelCom.

Several weeks ago the Russian group announced that it would sell its 49% stake in GTel, therefore exiting the Vietnamese market.

Kothari replaces Gael Campan, who had been general director since 2008.
