Telekom Austria’s Slovenian unit Si.mobil has named Jorg Eddies as its new CEO from 11 August.
Si.mobil’s previous CEO Dejan Turk left the company in March to head up the Austrian incumbent’s Serbian mobil unit, Vip. Bostjan Skufca Zaversek has been acting as interim CEO.
Eddies has worked in the consultancy sector since 2011, most recently for Arthur D Little where, as a director at the Dubai branch, he was responsible for advising challenger telcos on launching convergence services, integrated Wi-Fi price offerings and ecommerce services.
He was previously employed for more than 15 years within the Deutsche Telekom group. His roles there included serving as chief commercial officer for the Romanian unit.
Si.mobile had a 30% share of the Slovenian mobile market at the end of 2013 with about 679,200 customers, according to Telekom Austria.
