Roland Haidner has been appointed as director of mergers and acquisitions at Telekom Austria.
Haidner will take responsibility for M&A activity in the seven Central and Eastern European markets Telekom Austria operates in. He has been overseeing M&A activities for the group since earlier this year.
“My objective is to continue to find and pursue initiatives that will deliver value for the Telekom Austria Group – be it via acquisitions, partnerships or through the ongoing assessment of the group’s existing portfolio,” Haidner said.
He was previously CFO of Vip mobile, the group’s Serbian subsidiary. He was on the board of both Vip and Mobitel, Telekom Austria’s Bulgarian subsidiary.
Haidner graduated from the Vienna University of Economics and Business where he focused on the Central and Eastern European region.
