Piergiorgio Peluso has assumed responsibility for administration, finance and control at Telecom Italia.
The operator said Peluso is expected to take over the responsibilities of Andrea Mangoni by the end of the month. Mangoni has been appointed managing director for the group’s South American business.
In an emailed statement to TelecomFinance a TI spokesperson clarified: “Mr Peluso was appointed new manager designate for the preparation of accounting and corporate documents; he will take over Andrea Mangoni’s role as Group CFO within the end of September.”
Peluso’s background is in financial services and he has held positions at Mediobanca, Credit Suisse First Boston, Capitalia and Unicredit. Most recently he was managing director of Fondiaria.
