Paris-headquartered vendor Alcatel-Lucent has appointed a new president of its Brazilian unit.
Javier Rodriguez Falcon replaces Jonio Foigel, who will leave the manufacturer to pursue other interests. Falcon, an Argentine, will take over the role on 1 May and Foigel will work with him in the transition period.
Falcon was previously head of the Telefonica account team for Latin America which handled the operator’s relationship with Alcatel-Lucent. Before that he led the Southern Cone region for the Spanish giant, covering Argentina, Bolivia, Chile, Paraguay, Peru and Uruguay.
Osvaldo Di Campli, president of Alcatel-Lucent in the Caribbean and Latin America said: “Javier has a wealth of proven sales expertise and operational skill that will help us further capitalise on the opportunities we have in helping customers grow in Brazil.”
