Teddy Bhullar has become the new managing director of Bharti Airtel’s operations in Rwanda.
Before joining Airtel Rwanda, Bhullar was the head of the Indian giant’s unit in Sierra Leone from 2010 and was working for Airtel Seychelles prior to that.
He succeeds Marcellin Paluku, who is now heading Bharti’s mobile financial services unit Airtel Money at a pan-African level.
Bhullar’s appointment comes as few weeks before Manoj Kohli, CEO of Bharti’s international operations, will step down from his position, on 1 April. Christian de Faria, CEO of the telco’s African business, will assume full operational control over its units in 17 African geographies.
