Israel’s Partner Communications, which operates under the Orange brand, has appointed Adam Chesnoff as its new chairman. Elon Shalev has become vice chairman.
Chesnoff succeeds Shlomo Rodav who has decided to resign for “personal reasons”, according to a company statement.
Both Chesnoff and Shalev were already board members since January this year and serve as COO and senior adviser respectively at Saban Capital Group.
The US private equity firm acquired a majority stake in the telco early this year from Scailex for about for about US$365.13m. It also took on Partner’s debt pile of US$300m.
Partner is a leading mobile operator in Israel. It recently signed a network sharing agreement with local player Hot Mobile for the provision of 4G services.
