Karl Erik Broten, CFO of Telenor Pakistan, will be joining Telenor’s subsidiary DiGi Malaysia as CFO, to be replaced by Gabor Kocsis.
Both new appointments will be effective from 15 May 2013, according to an announcement today from the Norwegian headquartered-telco.
Kocsis has worked for Telenor since 1993 and has held the CFO role for the company’s Hungarian and Serbian operations. He is currently a member of the board of directors for Telenor Sweden and senior VP for global ERP in Oslo, Norway.
“I am delighted for the opportunity to come to Pakistan and am looking forward to working together with a highly talented and dedicated team,” said Kocsis in the statement. “I am confident that together we can further enhance the financial standing of Telenor Pakistan and take it to even greater heights.”
Broten has been CFO of Telenor Pakistan since 2009 and now joins mobile carrier DiGi Malaysia, a subsidiary of the group which has been operating in Malaysia for 17 years.

Telenor Pakistan is a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Telenor Group and has over 30 million subscribers in Pakistan.
