The board of South African fixed-line operator has appointed Jacques Schindehutte as new CFO.
He will join from ABSA Group where he was group financial director. He was involved with the acquisition of ABSA by Barclays.
Schindehutte will take up his new position on 1 August.
Telkom has recently lost several top executives. Jeffrey Hedberg, who was acting CEO from July 2010, left the company at the end of his contract in March. Last year, both CFO Peter Nelson CEO Reuben September stepped down.
