Ali Ghodbani has been appointed new CEO of Tunisie Telecom by the minister of industry and technology, according to local media reports.
He replaces Raouf Chkir, who only became CEO on February 1.
Chkir resigned after the Secretariat of State of Technologies asked him to immediately enforce an agreement signed on February 9 with the trade unions concerning the departure of 63 freelance managers and directors with high wages. The agreement was however rejected by Tunisie Telecom’s board of directors.
Neither the authorities nor the operator was immediately available for comment.
