Thirukumar Nadarasa has been appointed CEO of Hutchison Telecommunications in Sri Lanka, with immediate effect.
Nadarasa returns to the global telco’s Sri Lankan division, which operates a mobile network under the Hutch brand, after working for the group in Vietnam.
Nadarasa launched Hutchison’s GSM network in Sri Lanka in 2004 and has also worked for the global telco group in Hong Kong. He recently completed an assignment in the Middle East deploying GSM networks into the Central Africa region.
“I am pleased to be returning to Hutch Sri Lanka again to lead it to the next chapter of its development,” said Nadarasa. “Hutch has recently invested in one of the largest and most advanced 3G networks that already covers all 25 districts of Sri Lanka.”
