Jiri Dvorjancansky has been appointed as CEO of Vipnet, a Croatian mobile operator and subsidiary of Telekom Austria, with effect as of 1 August.
Joining from O2 Czech Republic where he was in charge of marketing, Dvorjancansky will also be responsible for marketing, sales and customer service at Vipnet.
At the head of the Croatian company, he replaces Mladen Pejkovic who has been named technology development officer within the Telekom Austria group. Pejkovic will also be CTO of the Belarusian subsidiary Velcom.
Vipnet is Croatia’s second-largest telco. Its competitors are incumbent T-Hrvatski Telekom (T-HT), a unit of Deutsche Telekom, and Swedish-owned Tele2.
