Polish altnet Netia is still considering acquiring stakes in fixed-line operator Telefonia Dialog from state-owned copper miner KGHM, and utility PGE’s telco unit Exatel, reports Dow Jones, citing comments by CFO Jon Eastick to analysts.
Netia first stated in interest in buying Telefonia Dialog, which KGHM values at $264m in its accounts, last winter. Telefonia Dialog launched its MVNO in February under the name of Diallo, using Polkomtel’s network.
“Exatel and Dialog will interest us most,” Eastick was cited saying.
The board of PGE plans to sell a 95.07% stake in the telephone unit, according to local reports last month.
PwC is reportedly acting as transaction advisor on the Exatel sale.
Netia was not immediately available for comment.
