Currently CEO of MTN Uganda, Khumalo will be responsible for managing MTN operations in 13 countries including Afghanistan, Botswana, Cyprus, Rwanda and Zambia.
The company said this appointment is part of recent changes to MTN’s organisational model.
The operator recently named Ahmad Farroukh to the newly-created position of group chief operating executive (GCOE). Khumalo, as well as the CEOs of several local subsidiaries, will report to Farroukh.
