Jordan’s Damamax has named Mohammad-Monir Ghannam as its new CEO.
The DAMA Ventures subsidiary, which provides broadband and communication services via its fibre optic network, said in a statement that Ghamman, who succeeds Eyad Abu Khorma, has started in his new role after a long career in the local ICT sector.
The company, which describes itself as one of the nation’s largest backbone operators, said Ghannam will strive to introduce new services and technologies to the Jordanian market.
A former assistant professor at the Arab Academy for Science and Technology, Ghannam has also worked as a product manager for Ideal Systems (now known as Optimiza) and as technical director and deputy general manager and then general manager and board member of Cyberia Jordan.
