Private equity firms Blackstone and KKR are mulling a bid over France Telecom’s 52.9% stake in Belgium mobile operator Mobistar, Reuters reports quoting people familiar with the situation.
The private equity firms are reportedly currently assessing how much they could raise on the debt market, but no decision seems to have been taken.
The transaction could reportedly value Mobistar at more than E3bn.
France Telecom said it did not receive any offer for its stake. “We’re not aware of any such offer,” a spokesman said.
The private equity firms were not immediately available for comments.
