Egyptian mobile operator Mobinil is looking to secure a E£2.6bn (US$430m) loan to develop its infrastructure and increase the capacity of its broadband network.
A senior executive at the National Bank of Egypt was quoted telling Zawya that the bank will arrange the loan.
Mobinil could not be reached for comment before the press deadline.
A couple of weeks ago, incumbent France Telecom completed the acquisition of a majority stake in Mobinil, bringing its interest to 95%.
