Mobiltel, the Bulgarian unit of Telekom Austria, has bought 100% of Bulgarian ISPs operators Megalan Network and Spectrum Net.
The total amount of the transaction is worth E83m on a debt free basis, and Mobiltel will pay E72m with its cash flow. It will pay another E14.5m by the end of 2011 depending on performance, according to BroadbandTVNews.
The company said that with the acquisitions it would be able “to capitalise the huge potential on the market of fixed broadband internet and the supply of combined services”.
Megalan Networks and Spectrum Net together reportedly had 85,400 access lines at the end of 2009 with E25.3m revenues and E7m EBITDA.
