Russian mobile operator MegaFon has finalised the Rbs196m (US$6.4m) acquisition of regional operator Nakhodka Telecom.
“This acquisition will reinforce our positions in the Primorye telecommunications market of corporate and government customers as well as municipal organizations. Moreover, MegaFon will get access to the mass fixed-line broadband market of Nakhodka and Vladivostok – the key cities of the Far East region,” CEO Sergey Soldatenkov said.
Nakhodka Telecom provides internet, long distance telephony and satellite communications services in the cities of Primorsky Kray. It was set up in 1991.
It posted Rbs92.9m (US$3m) revenues for the first three quarters of this year and it is free of debt.
