Shareholders in Russian mobile operator MegaFon have elected a new board of directors and management board.
The new board of directors, elected at the company’s AGM, includes: Vladimir Streshinskiy and Sergey Soldatenkov for Telecominvest; Jan Ericson for Olymp LLC; Lars Nyberg, Tero Kivisaari and Cecilia Edstrom for Sonera Holding; and Jan Rudberg for Allaction, the company said in a statement. Rudberg served his previous term as an independent director and MegaFon said the board will review his nomination to continue in this capacity at its next meeting.
The new management board, also elected at the AGM, includes directors of regional operations alongside top management.
MegaFon experienced major ownership changes in late April, with Alisher Usmanov’s AF Telecom acquiring a controlling stake of 50% plus one share.
