Mexican cableco Megacable has launched an MVNO on Telefonica’s Mexican network.
In a statement to the Mexican stock exchange, Megacable said that it would now be able to make a quadruple-play offering to customers. The mobile service will come on top of its fixed-line telecoms, TV and internet services.
Megacable’s CEO, Enrique Yamuni, said that the company thought it could achieve synergies with its fixed-line business, as there would be unlimited calls between a customer’s mobile phone and home.
The new MVNO will be known as Megacel.
