Orange (EPA:ORA) is considering an IPO of its Spanish business, following its US$3.8bn acquisition of fixed-line focused Jazztel, country CEO Jean Marc Vignolles has said.
Speaking at an event in Spain, he however added that while the company is “interested in and intends to” list, it has yet to make any decisions on timing or terms, according to Reuters.
The French telco had indicated plans to merge Jazztel – which it delisted last month – with its local mobile business Orange España, and then list part of the combined company.
Bank of America Merrill Lynch acted as adviser to Orange on its acquisition of Jazztel.
