The CEO of Polish media and telecoms group Cyfrowy Polsat, Dominik Libicki, has resigned after about 13 years in the role due to a disagreement over how to implement the group’s strategy.
Libicki, who has been with the group since 1995, is also leaving his role as vice president of mobile arm Polkomtel (Plus), Cyfrowy said in a statement.
His future plans were not revealed.
The supervisory board has appointed Tomasz Gillner-Gorywoda, currently director general of Polkomtel, as the group’s new CEO.
Cyfrowy’s owner, Zygmunt Solarz-Zak, thanked Libicki for his work for the group, describing him as a “co-author” of its success so far and saying he has positioned it well for future growth.
Cyfrowy noted that its strategy remains unchanged.
Warsaw-listed Cyfrowy completed its PLN6.15bn (US$2bn) merger with Polkomtel in early May. Both companies were controlled by Solarz-Zak.
