US-based mobile operator Leap Wireless International has named Jerry Elliott as its new executive vice president and chief financial officer.
Elliott, who begins his new role on 1 May, has nearly 25 years of financial and operational experience in the public and private sectors, Leap said in a statement.
He currently owns his own business, Jerry Elliott Interests, which provides other businesses with “strategic capital and operating leadership,” the statement read.
Elliott’s previous positions include serving as CFO and chief administrative officer of the Weather Channel, CFO of Virgin Media, CEO of educational material supplier Cengage Learning and CEO and then president of communication towers company Global Signal.
Leap is one of four US telcos to have recently agreed to exchange spectrum in various domestic markets.
