France’s La Poste is considering launching an MVNO in the next year, according to local reports.
It is reportedly targeting between 1.5 and 2 million subscribers in four years.
The project, which will be on the agenda at the company’s next board meeting, reportedly aims to offset the decline of its postal activities between 2007 and 2009. La Poste’s operating income has dropped from E1.31bn to E760m.
The postal group is planning to sign a partnership with a network operator by September.
