Eric Hageman has been appointed as permanent CFO by KPN’s supervisory board.
He had been in the role on an interim basis since January following the departure of Carla Smits-Nusteling, who decided to leave the Dutch telco following the introduction of KPN’s new executive structure.
Hageman has been with KPN since 2005 and had been CEO of the operator’s Belgian operations.
Jos Donvil took over as interim CEO of KPN Belgium following Hageman’s departure, and has now been appointed on a permanent basis. Donvil was previosuly KPN Belgium’s COO.
Before joining KPN, Hageman worked for nearly a decade as a corporate financier in London where he advised telecoms, media and technology companies.
Hageman will earn a base salary of €575,000 per year. Hageman is also eligible for a short term variable cash incentive and a long term variable incentive (based on conditional shares), which are both related to the performance of KPN.
